2016 forums are about to commence

In 2015, Kingston City Council, community and waste management operators held two public and one youth forum to share progress made on the work they have been doing to address community concerns and aspirations regarding odour, dust, contaminated water run-off and other environmental impacts in the general Clayton and Dingley area.

We are pleased to announce that two further public and one youth forum are now planned for 2016. All of the sessions will focus on the future development of the landfill areas. The group would like to extend an invitation to the communities of Clayton and Dingley to join them for this discussion.

Please join us between 6.00pm and 8.00pm on Wednesday 20th April 2016 at “Balook” Centre, Westall Secondary College,  88 Rosebank Ave, Clayton South.

A light supper will be provided and to help with the preparations for the evening please register your interest in attending and/or being kept informed about future events at RSVP’s and registration:

At the first forum for 2016 we hope to cover the following:

  1. Update and feedback on the purpose and role of these forums
  2. Reflect on what we heard at the last forum for 2015
  3. Sharing some short presentations about the future use of the current landfill areas
  4. Informal updates and an opportunity to talk to representatives from Waste Operators, EPA, Council and Community groups

Next Forum – 20th October 2015

Please join us for the next forum which will be taking place between 6.00pm and 8.00pm on Tuesday 20th October 2015 at “Balook” Centre, Westall Secondary College, 88 Rosebank Ave, Clayton South.

On 21st April and 28th July 2015 EPA, Kingston City Council, community and waste management operators held a public forum and a youth forum to share progress made on the work they have been doing to address community concerns and aspirations regarding odour, dust, contaminated water runoff and other environmental impacts in the general Clayton and Dingley area. The last forum focused on the future of the landfill areas.
The final forum of this year will continue to focus on current progress and the future of the landfill areas. The group would like to extend an invitation to the communities of Clayton and Dingley to join them for this discussion.

Last forum for 2014

The last forum for 2014 will be held at 6.00pm and 8.00pm on
Tuesday 14th October 2014 at Westall Secondary College, “Balook” Centre – 88 Rosebank Ave, Clayton South.

CDWF No. 2

62 people attended a gathering on the evening of Tuesday 22nd July 2014 to hold a conversation with individuals from the Clayton and Dingley community, the waste management industry, Kingston Council and the State Governments Environment Portfolio (including EPA, Sustainability Victoria and the Metropolitan Waste Management Group).

43 people attended a gathering on the evening of 1st April 2014 to hold a conversation with individuals from the Clayton and Dingley community,
