2015 forums are about to commence

The 2015 forums are about to commence with the first gathering due on 21st April 2015.

In 2014, Kingston City Council, community and waste management operators held three public and one youth forum  to share progress made on the work they have been doing to address community concerns and aspirations regarding odour, dust, contaminated water run-off and other environmental impacts in the general Clayton and Dingley area.

We are pleased to announce that two further public and one youth forum are now planned for 2015. All of the sessions will focus on the future development of the landfill areas. The group would like to extend an invitation to the communities of Clayton and Dingley to join them for this discussion.

Please join us between 6.00pm and 8.00pm on Tuesday 21st April 2015 at “Balook” Centre, Westall Secondary College,  88 Rosebank Ave, Clayton South.

A light supper will be provided and to help with the preparations for the evening please register your interest in attending and/or being kept informed about future events at RSVP’s and registration:

At the first forum for 2015 we hope to cover the following:

  1. Update and feedback on the purpose and role of these forums
  2. Reflect on what we heard at the last forum for 2015
  3. Sharing some short presentations about the future use of the current landfill areas
  4. Informal updates and an opportunity to talk to representatives from Waste Operators, EPA, Council and Community groups
